The workshop uses "giving a back
massage" as the vehicle through which we will discuss ideas such as
complementary opposites (yin/yang), pain relief by clearing blockages,
energy pathways (meridians), mental/emotional/physical connections and
more!
Chinese Medicine offers a poetic and graceful way of understanding
the bodymind and its relationship to nature and the world at large.
This workshop will introduce some familiar and not so familiar ways of
thinking about health and healing. It is an opportunity to see familiar
landscapes with new eyes.
This workshop includes the option of preparing case studies
(particularly of interest for registered massage therapists that want
to earn 6 Continuing Education Units).
Dawn is currently offering two types of acupressure courses. Hands On! An introduction to Chinese Medicine (general interest and courses for Registered Massage Therapists) and Acupressure for Labour (for pregnant women and for professionals - doulas, midwives, massage therapists).
